Sara Ekstrand is a glass artist who originate from the island of Öland on the east coast of Sweden. She started her glass education at Orrefors Glass School where she studied their Glass Technical Course for two years. This course aimed to teach all aspects of blowing and cutting glass. After that she moved to Växjö and did the Design, Illustration & Formgivning course at the ART-TEX college which helped her broaden her artistic abilities.

Her BA Hons 3D Design - Glass at the Surrey Institute of Art & Design in Farnham gave her time and space to develop as an artist and a maker. She has exhibited in various galleries and with her studio in Barcombe she continues to create her unique glass.
